34 weeks

ok not much to report from the 34 week appointment.
doc says mom and baby are doing great.
baby is head down.
totally impossible to see on the sonogram (baby is too big!)
see you at 36 weeks...

now - the realistic view point:
baby is kicking mom's ass (and ribs, and colon, and kidneys)
braxton hicks contractions are NO FUN
lower back pain is out of control
HOWEVER
i love being pregnant - or at least i love this baby!
(that's good right?)

on the photo front... I have finished a couple of baby items (knitting) and we hung the mobile above the changing table...

this is a soaker - or basically woolen pants bb will wear over his cloth diapers. you would think wool would be hot - but it's supposedly not at all - breathing more then any other fabric, as well as wicking away moisture (think pee...)

a baby hat i made... just really wanted something with anntennae...

i made this a while ago - but i don't know if everyone has seen it. it's a bb teddy bear, made of baby cashmere and silk! luxurious!

the mobile is so so cute. the little birds face down, and they are magnetically attached so if i need to distract bean from whatever when i am changing him, i can just grab a bird off of the mobile and hand it over.

look at that face!

the day

and the doc confirmed the c-section date -

still June 4.

so start your engines people.
48 days
15 hours
40 minutes

but who's counting?

le bump

so this is what i see every morning when i am trying to ... you know ... look at my feet -

i just noticed that i am totally unable to belly-up-to-the desk,
or the bathroom sink,
or the kitchen sink,
or the table to eat.

i should buy stock in spray and wash.

frowny-face

so - we have been going to birth class.
ahem.
the first class was all about "natural" childbirth - and the stages of labor.

i am just going to take this moment and thank whomever necessary for the fact that i have to have a c-section.... ok

so as our fabulous LD nurse is explaining all the stuff - i look around and all the women, even their partners, are totally into it - like "we can totally handle this! 8-12 hours of contractions? NO PROB! episiotomy? WE ARE READY!"

and i look over at zack and he looks back at me and kind of squeezes my knee in a holy-jesus-thank-god-we-aren't-dealing-with-all-that kind of way.

i feel ya honey.
